LOL You've got to be kidding me. The takeovers panel application is a standard takeover defence move that is not predicated on success. What it does do is reiterate and highlight to shareholders over and over that CGT relief is NOT available and that stamp duty may be payable - which FAS may not have the funds to do.
Nothing inaccurate about that. And nothing that changes the fact that the FAS offer is ridiculous.
The only thing the takeovers panel judgement has indicated is that FAS have explained the CGT and Stamp Duty obligations adequately. This does not change the fact that CGT relief is NOT available.
Hard facts are difficult to bullsh*t against my friend ;)
