yes chris, they encourage you to slow charge because it is known to dramatically reduce the life expectancy. google is your friend and no doubt there are lots out there screaming 'no it doesn't' with self-interest so make up your own mind, objectively.
for example, i googled a lithium car battery supplier
another thing not going for evs is buying second hand, how can you tell the battery condition without taking it to a workshop. lolz
