Apologies that the last post was a long and heavy read.

For anyone interested, the nuts n bolts of what I was thinking is simply that a range of corporates should be or might soon be paying attention to UCG in general and Cougar in particular, including:

# Conventional and coal seam gas producers (eg Santos, Chevron, Shell, BHP, British Gas etc) looking for long term reserves security.

# Oil refiners (Caltex, Shell etc) diversifying into gas "manufacturing" as a hedge on peak oil.

# Infrastructure groups (eg a Macquarrie satellite) or Investment groups (eg Direct Invest) looking for long life income producing assets like power stations.

# Energy intensive industries like aluminium smelters with any proximity to suitable coal.

It is entirely plausible imo.
