It's a stem cell trial for oa conducted in Melbourne recently, and on tonight's 7 and 9 national news. I can't seem to copy the web address, but google 'adipose-derived stem knee randomised trial' or search at future medicine.com. Lead investigator name of Freitag.
Results were fairly impressive, including regrowth of cartilage. I was feeling a little depressed til I saw it had no effect on bml/e.
Stem cells will probably become the standard treatment eventually but hopefully not before PAR makes us all rich.
