So where's the comprehensive science on this - one seeming swallow does not a summer make. Vincent Courtillot's work on this is the closet I can find to any scientific assessment of this, and that was only a single paper, ten years ago, which he did not follow up on. and that in itself did not prove the point.
I'm not aware of any evidence of a long term correlation nor any known causal mechanism.
