"Your gross income is your taxable income". That's a ludicrous concept.

It will never work and taking away incentive does not make a society richer it just makes it poorer.

As I said the concept is founded on prejudice and envy.

Maybe you should compare tax evasion with tax avoidance. There is usually a good reason that an individual arrives at a net taxable income.
