The quality of Fat Prophet's tips in the mining sector have fallen badly over the last 6 months or so (may be a reflection of the direction of the market). What bothers me is the inability of FP to be realistic about companies they have recommended and still have as a hold. Their weekly ramblings about many of their picks are becoming a joke.

Never buy any of their recommendations without doing your own due diligence first. EPE, which I bought a few of on FP recommendation, turned out good by pure luck because it is moving into coal.
