Given the American propensity to travel by car, the US economy has no problem devouring more oil on a daily basis than any other country. Around half of the total daily world production of 80 plus million barrels is consumed in the United States. With the cost of energy clearly being an Achilles heel for the US economy, we believe the stage is now set for another oil shock.
