a mate of mine, with very little sharemarket knowledge, is a current subscriber to fat prophets. It has become a religion to him. He preaches constantly about them. His plan if they recommend a stock is to place a buy under their price guide, and if he gets them, he is of the belief that he's on a sure thing. He purchased vre at close to 40c and has just averaged down with more around 25c. He has done this with a number of stocks know, and to me, his portfolio is not looking healthy. His view is that they are all good companies, will bounce back, because fat prophet like them.
