Payman is not the first senator to be elected as a senator & then leave the party, won't be the last. Payman had been a long term member of the ALP & it's policy of a 2 State Solution. Her voting is inline with her beliefs & ALP policy. If only more politicians voted for what they believed in.
Let's see how she does over the next few years before passing judgement. I can see her bringing a lot of sense & reason to the Senate in a similar way to Poccock. I'd have 10 more Payman's before I'd take another person like Hanson being elected.
