"the conflict will have abated before the end of the year". . I hope you're right treefer. but Net has much to gain from continuing the war (so very Orwellian) and much to lose when the war stops.
Hamas too has its power-base to worry about. they'll be screwed since the war stops.
"Had she stayed with the Labor Party she could have been as I say the poster child for the policy". .. and now, like other in the Senate, she has the possibility to make real change instead of labouring away at changing Labor.
we'll see how she goes... maybe she'll get so harassed by the trolls that she finds it impossible to remain without going into hiding. she's young and delicate in her sense of self and security. she might melt like a snowflake to turn to iron and be a real stalwart of democracy.
