she's a senator. they take their place on the party ticket and people vote for the party, rarely the person.
she's a member for her state, not an electorate. most who voted for her would not likely have heard her name before.
she's entirely indebted to the party.
I believe in free speech and her interview today was excellent. a calm articulate person of faith representing the state and her fellow Muslims. well at least that how I read her priorities. but the Party demands total loyalty and adherence to the rules.
not sure if she loses her seat if the party sacks her.
