"what’s she done for Australian citizens? a big fat nothing". ...... gee don't you leap to dodgy conclusions. she's a Senator, therefore she represents the state of WA. she's a member of a political party, therefore she represents the party to her voter constituents. she's climbed the party. greasy pole to get a spot on the Senate ticket, therefore very few voted for per personally, they vote for the party in the Senate, therefore she represents very few.

but she beholden to the Party as her first priority. thats standard for all Party members, regardless of which party.

but she's Muslim and this creates the difficulty for her party. she wants to represent her Muslim fellows and help the Palestinian cause and because her Party is chicken, lacking courage of her convictions, she's essentially forced by these circumstances to back her beliefs - she at least has courage.
