groundzero, I think you are simplifying a complex issue to match you disposition and probable anti-semitism.
From what I see, hear and read, the demands are constantly changing and are just whatever happens to be something so outrageous that they will never have a chance of getting it.
The intention does not seem to actually come to any agreement with us in the western societies, just to have a continuously escalating stream of demands. If they get any small part of these demands, they take it as proof of the effectiveness of terrorism as an approach, and escalate the savagery and intensity of the attacks to get more of their demands.
The dying on their side is done by brain-washed foot-soliders and semi-functioning half-wits in most cases and so the leaders of this movement do not really care how many of their faith must die. The status of women in their societies is kept at the level of baby factories to continue to produce the fodder for the propoganda-machinery in the madrasahs to turn out more and more brainwashed-homicidal half-wits indoctrinated into this 7th centry death cult ready to go off and kill the infidel for allah.
To blame Israel for the revival of this 7th centry death-cult and their malfunctioning society geared primarily towards high output of crazed homicidal maniacs as the primary product of their society is quite a reach.
The Israelis are fighting against the same terrorism, the same societies geared towards generatang hate-filled-brain-washed homicidal zombies as the primary product of their society, as the rest of us in the west are.
The Israelis have just been doing it for longer and have learned from bitter experience what the rest of us will likely learn soon from similar experiences - that there are very limited ways to deal with the homicidal zombies of this crazed death-cult, whose only target if death, either theirs or yours.
