Wildthing, there you go: the anti-semitic bit. God I hate that! You just cant see it. We look at this from different angles -you from the intellectual angle, I from the "moral" angle. Intellectually, you would leave me for dead. Practically, it would be the reverse. You say: "The Israelis are fighting against the same terrorism," We disagree. The Israelis in my book are CAUSING the terrorism. I am obviously older than you ( my next significant birthday will be 70). My recollection of history is obviously different to yours, as is my moral outlook. In this Israel/Palestine thing, it is a question of "which came first, the chicken or the egg?" I feel it was the egg.
And I feel nothing but hatred for those who kill children like the Israelis do. What about the suicide bombers, you say? They kill, agreed, but they dont shoot someone and make their rellies watch helplessly (from a distance) while he bleeds to death. The Israelis are the sickest on earth, beyond even the Serbs.
