Yes, it also seems Monday is the most preferred day to die. Closely followed by the other working days of the week. And nobody wants to pass on a weekend it seems.
I reckon the death rate has tapered off as the weeks have ticked by, due to a rising level of the standard of care - i.e. doctors sharing most effective treatment methods, existing medications and so on. Might also have something to do with the numbers of people presenting i.e. fewer presenting at hospitals means more attention and also potentially higher standard of care.
