It would have been too obvious a move if Trump had of fired Fauci. So Trump just sidelined him, went against all scientific advice and locked down too late and opened up too early etc and killed 500,000 Americans.
So the TPT (Trump Protection Team) now turn reality on it's head and blame the deaths on Fauci, by some astounding sleight-of-hand. Which would have been a much more difficult con job had Trump directly fired him.
And of course Dr Fauci was extremely popular with the public .
