Prominent Hill is a well run mine. At the lower management and operations level they seem to have a good competent crew.
OZL also has a bucket of cash which creates an opportunity.
Can OZL board turn that opportunity into realised opportunity?
The market seems to doubt management capabilities and shorts have a win even when expected and predicted news on C1 costs comes out of PH.
I think the jury is still out on OZL board - its not possible to tell if OZL board have a secret cunning strategy or just fearful incapacitation and lack of talent but the jury have been out for a long time.
If OZL board have suddenly flicked the switch and after 4 years M&A is not even on the agenda anymore then they better explain what the f the plan is IMO. A clarification of the capital plan is required now.
Being vague, wishy-washy and unstable on what the plans for the future direction of this company's capital are will not help SP. SP needs all the help it can get - i would very much like to be above the waterline again on this stock.
