Apologies for the new thread but it seemed apt in the wake of the Karara project update.

In particular the admission that "the technical review have identified certain zones of the magnetite orebody to be significantly harder and more abrasive than anticipated."

This surely has got to be worth a separate episode of Fawlty Towers, albeit a short one.

Oh dear, Karara Mining Ltd. was established as a mining company but the company didn't know the sort of rock it was going to be mining.

That is, it didn't even drill out the proposed ore body to be mined to find out what it was dealing with.

Surely, given the around A$2 billion spent on the white elephant, this must be an entrant into the annual Darwin awards.

Either that, or the miners didn't tell the so-called "designers" of the plant what sort of rock they would be processing. Maybe this slipped what was left of someone's mind?

Is this some sort of April fooll's day joke?

What further insults to come for long suffering shareholders?
