US President Joe Biden has been found to have “wilfully” retained and disclosed highly classified documents when he was a private citizen, however he will not face charges despite his actions posing a “significant national security risk”.After a year of investigating, special counsel Robert Hur from the Department of Justice said in a report that it did not recommend charges against the President as the evidence “does not establish Mr Biden’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt”.Materials held by Mr Biden were found by FBI agents in the garage, offices and basement den of his home in Delaware and included documents regarding military and foreign policy in Afghanistan.Mr Hur’s report issued a damning state of Mr Biden’s cognitive state following investigative interviews conducted with him, arguing it would make it challenging for a jury to convict him.
