FYI "Bots" are actually algorithmic trading tools....everyone uses them. Algos" come in different designs with the most common being VWAP, TWAP and POV (Percentage of Volume ie participate 20% of Vol etc). There is no grand conspiracy theory with them. The overriding objective of most Algos is to minimize market impact ie some guy may want to sell 5m FBR so he will VWAP (volume weighted average price) this order over the day - he essentially breaks it up into 100 or 1000s of slices.
I sometimes think HC would have half as many posts if it was for all this rubbish talk of "Bots".
