The Hadrian is designed to supplement the building industry and its lack of bricklayers. Although the machine boasts the ability to lay a many number of different bricks and blocks, its primary use is to construct 1000's of houses for master builders around the world, not to replace every single bricklayer or specialist applications. The robot will not, for instance, be able to get down sloped narrow streets or lay houses amidst other houses in tight packed neighbourhoods, nor is that its market or its aim!!!

This machine can lay dwellings up to 3 storeys and will install lintels via a winch attached to the same arm, there will be 2 men on site at all times assisting with placement of such things and it's FBR's intention to keep it operated by humans to help people transition into the modern age and allow them to remain in the work force. They are already working on multi-storey buildings to and Mike told us at the AGM that should be in their future, plus a whole heap of other applications.

As for windows, flashings and joints, these again will be done by humans, this robot lays bricks and incredibly fast, it's not looking to take over the world!

There will be plenty done by humans in collaboration with the machine, however, it will do the hard yards of moving and laying and no need for mixing mortar anymore and all in 3 days.

That's why if this robot tests well, the people amongst us holding positions should do very well from our patient investment.
