Just a laugh for you lot! After Trump still going on about this bloody wall I decided to do the very rough maths...
US/Mexico Border length: 3,201km.
Say the wall is 40m deep below ground to stop the tunnels, 20m above ground and roughly 1m wide with no structures, buttresses or towers etc...
That's 192,060,000m3 of concrete alone! At $131 per/m3 of concrete that would make it $25.2 billion for cost of concrete with no wastage..
Add on engineering, labour, machinery, fuel, rebar, service diversions, formwork, management, permits, private security, temporary accommodation, everything you will need! you are probably talking $100 Billion on the very low ballpark guess.
Moral of the story: If Trump wins, buy shares in Fastbrick Robotics...Make America great again! hahaha
