great comparison Stormy. It was a great "semi" automation. Got rid of not 1 but 2 blokes hanging off the back of the truck. I was only young but I recall how fit those blokes had to be to run along with the truck and lift a full wheelie bin up and over the back gate.
I'd also like to point out a comparison of how people may have argued at the time "will Garbo's be able to use such sophisticated new machinery?" As people ask if integrating ex-bricklayers into piloting an HX with its sophisticated operation. The answer is absolutely!
