The only plausible way to make money from lifestyle companies is by shorting .Almost nobody does it because it's too hard to borrow shares, it's too risky (eg a fluff announcement can make the price rocket) and the time to failure is usually too long to make it financially viable. It is infinitely easier just to buy good companies.
