i think a lot of people misunderstand how the NCC actually works in Australia. Its a performance code, meaning you just need to achieve the level of performance. Either through the prescriptive model {Deemed to Satisfy) or through and Alternative Solution. The Australian Standards have no power in their own merit but are called up by the code as a DtS solution. I wouldn't be asking a builder especially a volume home builder how to achieve compliance, particularly with a novel system
