mate, I think hydrogen won’t work for passenger or commercial vehicles. A lot of energy/efficiency is wasted in generating hydrogen from electricity only to have to turn it back to electricity after costly transportation. Why not use and store the electricity in its pure original form and transport it via power cables. It’s a more efficient less costly framework overall. Either way ice cars are doomed. Hydrogen will have a niche maybe in planes and in generating iron ore and in some other industrial applications or maybe in some parts of the world not blessed with ample natural resources such as solar and wind. Just my opinion from my years studying the tea leaves.
