Must have not been made very well then. I guess you're saying that the market is huge so the current tiny SP will multiply by squillions, but that also doesn't take a sober enough look at fundamentals and the realities of the industry.

The other important reason to be aware of the current shares on issue is that most trading platforms invariably quote the market cap wrong; it's currently saying $133m on Commsec whereas it's actually $147m multiplying latest SOI by SP. Commsec must get the SOI from the annual report or something, so you need to know the real figure in order to calculate market cap. And that's not even considering the unrealised dilution and speedbumps of options and performance rights (luckily not too significant in FBR's case with only 7% implied dilution)
