It's how people fill in the lull while waiting for an expected major announcement. I try and avoid it, but I have a scientific mindset, so hearing people say that a relatively mild disease is the new name for a fatal disease pushes my buttons, but I henceforth will go back to leaving such discussions to the conspiracy theorists, and will focus on bricks and mortar (which has been renamed 'modern adhesive').
