yes probably not enough amps from a power box especially in USA as they only run half the voltage compared to britain/Australia .
A PTO drive does have the advantage you can have the truck engine just idling all day with a governor kicking in when need sufficient wattage , maybe a hybrid system would be even better as could have a battery instantly discharging under load while the engine revs up to the power needed ?
