Tim, this pattern of accumulation has been going on since fbr announced that Hx is going to forida, and really kicked off when the ship left Fremantle. Whoever they are have been accumulating for months at these tiny volumes, adding up to a sizeable total over the months. Theyre using both dark pool and lit markets for this. It took me three days to top up with an extra measly 2.5m shares using dark ice algo orders while the hx was on the boat. One order, one commission, buys when my price condition was met.
An HFT would never play with fbr because there is no money to be made with such low liquidity and value traded, and far too much slippage for them. Only a professional or institutional investor accumulating are using these orders. And thats bloody good news. And why i keep saying we need retail focused communications and media. Instos already know about fbr and wont let the price run. Only retail will.
