The first 20 units could be built in house with the $40m from CRH Ventures. Once revenue is coming in they will be able to access traditional bank financing to scale up, its also where government grants or loans could come into play. But its all just speculation, I would think the first 20 units being built in house is pretty certain, hence the new hires they have been making. Beyond that though, if you are going to be building 100's of units for the US, why build in Perth? Just build them there, even the labour is cheaper in the US.

The wild card is Governments like vehicle and machinery manufacturing in their country due to national security, if war breaks out those facilities are easily changed to manufacture military vehicles and equipment. Its why the Australian Government subsidised car manufacturing for so long. Then we decided if something happened the US could do it for us instead, however now with China ramping up and our supply chain issues during covid we are starting to swing back to building up our manufacturing base again. 10 years ago it wasnt much of a deal but it is now so FBR might get some decent Government support to keep things here.
