Hi Ash, spot on. No doubt anything is possible, although conventionally, risk (take your pick of business risks) and profitability would still be an issue at this stage for a full acquisition.
If they were a niche pre-rev start up with a couple of 25 year olds and some VCs then it might be another story… but acquiring a public company with a free float like FBR has currently, is a whole other regulatory and due diligence undertaking.
Without a few more runs on the board, takeover talk just seems a bit premature. I don’t recall too many, if any, pre revenue ASX listed takeovers.
Even one of CATs smaller acquisitions, Yard Club… reports indicated they were processing $120m in transactions, via a working SaaS platform.
Like I said previously though, my M&A experience is only theory based.
