Agree, the gap at this stage still looks way too big, my thought is if we look at the way each blocked is layed/dropped, the motion looks it's designed to be able to work with interlocking blocks in a top-down motion, but you are probably expert in this, will using interlocking blocks reduce the gap to a level that is satisfactory in terms of thermal isolation for load bearing walls?
