I 100% agree that the structural integrity and gapping could be improved with blocks that utilize mating ends.
Unfortunately from my perspective, time is our only answer. We have to wait until there is an announcement from either the Weinerberger or Brickworks Partnershi and or JV MOU alluding to this topic. Their respective announcements indicated that the first prerogative was to design and develop a specialized block. Logic would imply that they would develop a block that is;
1. Exclusive to the HX/JV's
2. Different qualities/grades depending on client requirement/expectation = varying returns
3. assists in mitigating the flaws of the Hadrian X you've mentioned
Hopefully we don't have to wait too long to find out...
