I am a risk averse individual nowadays. CFD reduces risk of being long hybrid ...that's all. And with the huge discounts on offer, it is possible to buy hybrid and sell short CFD and make risk free profit provided equity does not rally. And equity is not expected to rally as equity raising reduces equity price and shores up balance sheet thus making hybrid better risk (so price goes up);
that is the plan!
