You are correct but they need volume and PAA has none so it is not being manipulated. Price suppression would usually come with a party building a stake in the company. If that was the case someone has been manipulating the price for years while they accumulated. If that were true then we would have a ASX notice about a change in holdings.

Yeah, most probably annoying small time amateur stuff, but it adds to the negative sentiment. Unfortunately humans are herd animals. I was thinking more of the huge dump after the excellent pharmacokinetics results in early July, where on one day PAA had a turnover of nearly 12 million shares, only to see the shares rise from 8 cents to 10 cents and then nearly all the way back down again on the back of that good news but ID2T's explanation of the sharks, I mean sophs selling out their shares at a quick profit to hold onto their free options seems a good explanation rather than outright manipulation. btw the Senate report was done in 2013 and precious little has been done by the pollies to curb this stuff, so I imagine the problem is even worse today. I think it's important people realise what a brothel today's markets are in general. Worth reading.
