Friend of mine sent me earlier toady this extract from a broker. My actual focus was on another company in the extract. Looks interesting and have now added OSP to my rapidly growing watchlist.
Osprey gets FDA approval:– for its AVERT product that reduces that amount of contrast dye that needs to be used to visualise the heart during various medical procedures. On the back of this approval, the company is planning to initially launch the product in Texas in Q4 of CY2013. The reason for targeting Texas as a key market for commercial proof-of-concept is that, for various reasons, clinicians in Texas have greater discretion to choose and use new products. The company plans to launch the product more broadly once it secures a claim for the product around reduction of CIN, however, it will need clinical data to secure that claim. Meantime, there have already been a number of clinicians wanting to use the product given its ease of use. OSP was up $0.18, or 35% on the news of the FDA approval.
