This two years grace period is for companies to adjust their products for new compliance regulatory changes and is normal practice and not for extending current product registration. As for annual report p.34 (https://assets-au-01.kc-usercontent.com/bca3e5d5-83bd-02bf-1c27-acb036630e5b/74bea8bf-6134-4f14-83c8-2504029566bf/a2-Milk-AR2021_WEB-spreads.pdf) there is nothing in it about any grace periods. Unless of cause they have few versions of that report for different audiences. Personally, I think there is a possibility of some extension to registration deadline this time, but it would rather relate to covid and lockdowns distractions. But right now I'm not aware of any such extension. And fwiw, my view is that failure to renew SAMR is absolutely minimal but still would be happy with an update on progress.
