    Hmmm

Thirty per cent tax on earnings on amounts above $3 million is still highly concessional. Earnings on amounts below $3m will still be 15%.

If you don't like it, you can always invest after-tax dollars into shares as an individual - full franking credits and a 50% discount on capital gains.
Either option is still so much better than your average Joe, who gets whacked full freight of up to 47% income tax plus medicare levy on money earned through hard work.

Any way you slice it, capital in Australia is taxed more lightly than labour.
And don't be so sure about the cross bench in the Senate - the Greens and Pocock want a bigger tax take on super than labor, not a smaller one.

I know I might be weird, but having benefited so much from this investment, I don't mind paying a bit of tax.
Among other things, it will help fund trofinetide being listed on the PBS, so all Rett sufferers in Australia will get it for a nominal amount.
And of course, the money that the government pays from the PBS will be going straight onto the Neuren bottom line.

anyway - I'm counting my blessing, and plan to enjoy tomorrow!

    Good luck all!!
