So with PCC and now Eldermark coming on board, I was looking at a few others that may also be the next sign ups to Painchek.

Epic leads with a 41.3% hospital EHR market share and estimated 2024 revenue of $4.7 billion, Cerner follows with a 26% market share and $5.4 billion in 2023 revenue (pre-Oracle acquisition), and MatrixCare, a key player in long-term care, contributes significantly to ResMed’s $4.7 billion 2024 revenue. These companies align with PainChek’s interoperability goals and target markets, making them partnership possibilities.

Epic’s dominance in hospital EHRs, serving large healthcare systems like Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins, positions it to integrate PainChek’s AI-driven pain assessment tool for hospital expansion, especially for non-verbal dementia patients, aligning with CMS compliance needs. Cerner, with its extensive hospital and post-acute care presence, offers interoperability via FHIR standards, complementing PainChek’s existing integrations and supporting its hospital and home care ambitions. MatrixCare’s focus on long-term care EHRs, covering thousands of facilities, directly aligns with PainChek’s aged care market and CMS-mandated pain assessment requirements, enhancing its platform’s value for dementia care. Their large-scale operations and profitability ensure resources for integration, while PainChek’s FDA clearance would add a unique, compliant tool to their ecosystems, driving mutual growth.
