That they are! If you understand basic pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics you will see how difficult it is to demonstrate significant efficacy across a range of people. Factor that in with many measures being open to varying degrees of subjectivity and it's no wonder the biotech space is so hit and miss.
NEU has some points of difference though which is what caught my interest in the first place. I am also hopeful that what they have learnt from the previous trials will shine through in a tangible positive outcome here.
