I wonder whether this could be the final nail in the coffin for Philips Respironics? These are the high margin recurring purchase items that they use to generate returns (think razor blades and shavers) so it could hurt the bottom line even more than the machine recall. Not to mention the lost good will on a second major recall. Could this be the end of Philips in the C-PAP space?
Gladly this does not effect Resmed masks, although RMD also use magnets, they are intentionally made with lower magnet strength.
