My bone graft was fairly small so I could have the graft and fitting of the abutment (the post) done at same time as extraction of remains of my old tooth. Crown then fitted a few months later, after visit to oral surgeon to check progress for fitting crown, which was then done by my regular dentist. If bone graft needed to be bigger that would have involved one more stage in process in, ie bone graft, allow few months for healing, abutment then fitted, few more months for healing, then review and crown. My understanding is that if Gel Gro Dental is used then even where larger bone crafts needed, fitting of abutment can still be done at same time, so a few months and costs saved. Obviously difficult to estimate size of that market without knowing what proportion of 50% of implants needing bone grafts involve the longer process. Quite a lot I suspect.
