IMO, Combination of factors.
The global political situation have reminded society that energy from fossil fuel not only carries profound climate implications but also immense economic and security risk. Germany alone by weaning themselves from Russian gas with increased renewables could stabilise "new energy" material prices inc. Boron, Vanadium, and Lithium.
- On-going low volume and accumulation bots on the ASX picking up shares to move over to NASDAQ
- General Market conditions and sentiment - ie. war, inflation, recession, and general doom and gloom.
- "Experts" with short term outlook influencing EV materials space with negative sentiment, no doubt for their own gain (short).
- Weak retail holders influenced by the above
- Stop-losses set low and bots takin a while to sweep up
- NASDAQ, short sellers galore - though I have noticed larger volume traded late in the sessions suggesting positions being taken for the bounce?
- No clear timeframe for immediate sp catalyst, although a lot appears to be going on behind closed doors that will be released once ready = a great set up for a short-squeeze
Boron/borates has so many uses all over the place, and tied into so many parts of modern life that the duoply won't be able to meet demand once this turns around again. IMO the released broker reports are way to conservative in their pricing.
World food supply have been attacked from all fronts, natural as well as by man. Boron is a macro-nutrient for crops, and is especially effective for fruit-bearing crops to help pest and disease resistance.
With a longer than your nose outlook there are so much going for increased Boron demand that even a full-blown global recession will appear as a minor "blip" in the charts.
