I think that most will agree that our own death is something that we all face.

The question that I ask myself is:

Do I have any reason for fearing the inevitable event of my own death?

I divide the event into two categories

    1. The process of dying

    2. The status of being dead

For me, when considering death, these are distinct issues. For example we may fear the act of dying as this may involve pain, but may not fear the status of being dead.

I would like to start a discussion on how we view these "categories" related to death.
