Interesting heading. We all have to come to term with the idea of what death may or not represent. So, the impression that I have is what do we really know about death? The only true account of death that we may have is what we witness. What we witness is people have died and are dying and will die and that tells us that death is an elimination of our earthly existence. We have not experienced death as to know what death is and so rely only on speculative views which overall upset the multitude because of uneducated views. Our judgement of death is what upsets the most not death itself as we have not been directly involved as yet. In any case, life is a gift ( for the ones that acknowledge ) and when destiny has its final call we should be content for the gift allowed to us. Death has been smeared and accounts of it are erroneously misinterpreted. In the process of death itself life is lived and the consciousness departs but the living through it has been lived by and accounts of it are available everywhere to be read or heard of. Frankly speaking, the idea of life and death is a miracle and the individual should meet death as something not to fear but a departure into an unknown world. Preparation of death should be met with courage as we come closer to it day by day. The application of reason plays a big role into the acceptance as reason gives plausible answers to our everyday needs.
The status of being dead ? Only speculation can be applied to that and we can't know about it.
