    After the big big mistake of downgrading the US. I doubt they'll downgrade France at least for now. Trillions wiped out the global wealth from their action will dictate this.

    The political pressure they face must be immense. Furthermore, S&P's holding company McGraw-Hill has also been hammered in the last couple of days and it wouldn't surprise me if they face a whole slew of lawsuits not too long from now.

    I think it highlights rating agencies cannot function in isolation, not when they appear to have more market influence than sovereigns.
