I'll tell you right now they're only going through the motions to make sure all the boxes are ticked. There's no chance they've appointed an Independent Expert who's going to come back with a higher valuation.
The transaction overall makes sense. The price does not. 2moz to 1moz and the new WGR ends up being 60% WGR shareholders. Is that a reasonable deal? I'm not sure it is, although to be fair initial capital costs for CMPG are a reasonably heft bill. Will be interesting to see how the expert jsutifies the price (and I'm sure this will be part of the argument).
