It's interesting, not the first time my memory has failed me.

I have always wondered what the court's mindset would be when the Government reappeared like a naughty school kid in front of the Principal. "I gave you instructions and you have ignored them" is what I imagine the Principal saying. Maybe Judge Jackson has already formed the view that it should not be necessary for him to hear this case, just on pure lack of respect for the law, and he has informed the Government accordingly? Pure speculation on my behalf.
